Allow me to introduce you a really great guy name Prem. If a name was so fitting it is Prem the definition and meaning pure, unconditional love. If a name could ever fit a person it's one and only Prem Chand who is known and loved by so many. 

His journey is very difficult to share and be open about so please take the time to read and understand what this is for. On his behalf this was created as this is what Prem wanted and appreciated. A man what has never asked for anything. A man who was emotional to the thought and story that was written for him for this go fund me page. 

If you ever met or had the pleasure of knowing him you would know he is the most lovable happy go lucky guy. He always made people laugh and you would hardly ever see him get mad or upset. Prem grew up in Vancouver along with his Mom, Dad, two sisters and brother.  During the pandemic Prem celebrated a big milestone his 50th Birthday. The amazing thing is Prem and his eldest daughter share the same birthday, as father and daughter they both got to celebrate their 21st and 50th milestone together. Prem has a beautiful wife of 23 years who truly loves him and 3 beautiful children. Two beautiful girls aged 22 and 20 and one amazing son aged 16. He has two sisters and one brother who truly care for him. His Mom and Dad who raised an amazing man. A son to a well known father in the community. Prem has been a great mentor for his nieces and nephews and has been a big influence to all the kids in his family. Prem and his siblings have all grown up together with some amazing longtime friends. His friends are all from his childhood. He is a great step dad to his step daughter and son in law. Overall a great man with a beautiful family. He is an amazing father, friend, son, brother, and uncle to many. Not mention a great friend and manager to a whole team of people he manages who love him. A young man still with so much more to see and live for. His poker crew are the best crew with their traditional poker nights. He loves his family, friends, career and he loves his kids dearly. He is a great husband to such an amazing woman. When people see them they are automatically intrigued by the two of them. Strangers see the love between them, their love and care for them is so strong.  Some would think they were newly married and were always shocked knowing they have three kids. A couple everyone drawn to and admired. He is a great girl dad and a great dad to his son. He loves his family unconditionally. Prem who has touched so many peoples lives, known for his jokes and always made everyone smile and laugh in the room without even trying.

His family, friends, co workers, extended family, childhood friends, step daughter, son in law, people who's met him along the way and many more have nothing but amazing things to say. Each person holding a very memorable and funny time they had with Prem. A true genuine person who is loved by everyone. There is not one person who can say different. A man with always a smile on his face.  

Prem is the biggest hockey fan, he loves the Vancouver Canucks. Not only does he love to watch he also plays ball hockey and has a great deal of dedication to it. He enjoys long journey bike rides. He is also known to be a great handy man who is great at carpentry. A jack of all trades! During the summers if you had an honor of being in his presence during BBQ season you would know "Prems Burger Special" as I call it. He made sure everyone's plates were full. Prem is just life of the party who would do anything to make you feel welcomed with a smile and a beer. His unique voice that just draws you in. If you had a pleasure meeting or knowing him or being in his presence you would know exactly what a great person he is in and out. He radiates so much positivity and laughter; We deeply admire and we wish to embody some day.

This is where is gets hard... In August Prem started to struggle with pain, itchiness, loss of appetite. It started to become worse and unbearable. His symptoms got worse where he wasn't able to go to work or do any of the things he loved doing. Since that time he has been off work. As days and weeks went by he didn't quite know the reasons of his pain and the causes of his symptoms.  He was given the news on having diabetes. To make matters worse with multiple different doctor visits, specialist appointments and second opinions.  Later near the end of October Prem was sadly diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Due to the aggressive nature of this particular cancer. Prem was to start treatment immediately. He was scheduled for surgery however he couldn't undergo surgery as this terrible disease has spread too far along inside of his body. He wasn't able to get Whipple surgery. Which was terrible news as this could have been a start of recovery.

December was the most hardest month for his entire family and while his health was getting worse. The family spent Christmas praying and hoping for a miracle. His condition started to get worse which led him to sleeping problems and occurrences. As a result it led him to sleep walk night after night dazed and confused. Which was confirmed he had delirium which is caused in advanced cancer patients.

Prem along with his wife and kids had spent their New years eve and the first week of 2022 in the hospital as he wasn't doing too well.

Unfortunately and sadly he cannot go through radiation or chemotherapy as this Cancer has already spread throughout his body. He has a growing tumor in his stomach which makes him feel sick and nauseated. His body has been rejecting every treatment provided because of what Pancreatic Cancer does to and individual. 

 

He has returned home. However his condition has further worsened. He has been losing weight very fast. He no longer has an appetite. With facing this aggressive Cancer and being weak and not well... He hasn't been back to work and his condition is not improving.  My mother who works in the healthcare field has had to take a leave to be with her husband and kids. During Covid her and her team were on the news recognized as healthcare nurses as heroes. It has been a very difficult time for the family as you an imagine. They have been managing however at some point resources will run out as they have been off work and his condition needs further care and attention.

 

I  started this Go fund me on behalf of Prem and his wife and kids in time of need. Every contribution helps, either it be big or small. I know the man that he is he would do the same for someone in need.

 Please Pray for a fast and speedy recovery for a beautiful man with a heart of gold who is fighting for his life.
