Help Pregnant Mom Allegedly Strangled by Pastor

The Christian Post reported that “Pastor [Rashan L. Willson] is accused of choking the woman [Shanaqua Johnson] pregnant with his child at Southside Impact Church.”
“The incident report noted that during the meeting between Wilson and the mother of his children, he “lunged toward the victim, put both of his hands around her neck, squeezed tightly until she was unconscious for an indeterminate period of time.”
“Wilson, 35, was charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature...He was released on a $20,000 surety bond…”
Rashan claims to be the pastor of Southside Impact Church which is located at the same address as Southside [SBC] Baptist Church.

DESPERATE FINANCIAL NEEDS:
Victim Shanaqua Johnson is a single mother with two young children and pregnant with her third (fathered by Wilson) due early summer.
A source informed us that Wilson has not paid child support and this has led to serious financial needs for Shanaqua and the children. We understand that she works two part-time jobs but is desperately struggling to pay for necessities for herself and her children. Due to lack of resources, we have been told that she does not have a home which has forced her to live with friends and family.
With her baby due very soon, Shanaqua will not be able to work much longer putting her even further behind on her mounting bills. This compounds an already desperate financial situation.
Survivor Advocates Rev. Ashley Easter and Dee Parsons reached out to the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention and the Charleston Baptist Association requesting funds. After our request, the national Southern Baptist Convention gave $2,000 to Shanaqua. $2,000 is not close to being enough to sustain this pregnant, single mom and her children until she is able to get full-time hours after her delivery and recovery.
We are calling on caring individuals like you to help!!! We need to raise $10,000 by August 5th.
This brave mother has made the choice to keep her baby. We ask for individuals and churches to help by financially providing for this family's needs.

- Groceries
- Diapers
- Car Seat
- Miscellaneous expenses
**All donations will go to the Jonson family and will be distributed by Rev. Ashley Easter and Dee Parsons with expenses tracked for transparency.**
