Hi my name is April Hom, Nana to Benson & I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of his parents, my son Bradd Aaron Ikaika & Miranda Martinez.

Miranda & Bradd had a beautiful baby boy on Saturday, 1/20/2024 at 11:27am. 6 lbs. 5oz.

18.7 inches. He came into this world 2 months early & was delivered by C-Section at Banner Hospital Mesa, AZ where he was immediately taken to the NICU because he required immediate help breathing. He has since had multiple surgeries to correct problems with Kidney Failure & other complications. He was transferred to Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s NICU. Where he was just put on Dialysis to help his kidneys release some toxins out of his body & help his kidneys function properly.

We are all praying that he will improve so Miranda & Bradd can finally hold their little bundle of joy for more than a couple minutes outside the incubator. Benson is receiving the best specialty care from doctors, nurses & critical care staff.

Right now Miranda & Bradd want to be at the hospital as much as they can to be with Benson. However they have 3 1/2 year old big brother Beckham, who also needs daycare while they are at the hospital with their new baby. This is a very stressful & delicate time for all of them. Miranda still recovering from C-Section & Bradd is suffering from a fractured foot & having difficulty walking in a boot around the hospital. He may also need surgery on his foot which may mean missing even more work then he is now. He has already missed work due to being at hospital. They are struggling to pay their bills & medical expenses on only 1 income.

Miranda & Bradd are requesting help with the medical bills & expenses during this difficult time. They have insurance but not everything is covered by the insurance. Benson needs specialty care & there’s no way to know how long he will be in the hospital.

So please help & pray for Miranda & Bradd & donate what you can to help. No amount is too small. They appreciate your love & support while we pray for Benson to get better so they can take him home. God Bless.
