In February 2023, Prasad Tyadi suffered two strokes that changed everything. What followed was not only the loss of his independence, but the slow unraveling of his entire family’s life.

Prasad is now fully wheelchair-bound unable to stand, sit, or transfer on his own. He falls frequently, lives with constant pain, and has lost the ability to perform even basic daily tasks. Without immediate rehabilitation, he faces the very real possibility of becoming permanently bedridden. Prasad's family lives in San Antonio,TX.

### A Family Carrying an Impossible Burden

Prasad’s condition has placed an overwhelming burden on the people who love him most.

His wife, Supriya put her career and future on hold. Despite her education, she has been unable to pursue meaningful employment because her days revolve around caregiving.

His daughter stepped into the role of caretaker, sacrificing her own independence until she was recently able to step away.

Most heartbreakingly, Prasad’s son became his primary caregiver. In order to care for his father, he dropped out of high school, giving up his education, friendships, and future to shoulder responsibilities no child should ever have to bear.

This family has been surviving in crisis mode for far too long.

We are raising funds to bring a trained nurse from India to safely travel with Prasad and relocate him to a specialized rehabilitation center in Hyderabad, India, where he can be permanently settled and receive life-changing stroke rehabilitation.
