I don't really know what to say. I'm standing in the vet clinic after learning that my sweet Prancer's pelvis has been broken in a car accident.
My daughter and I returned yesterday from Romania where she got to see her father for the first time since she was 2 years old. This is the first time we've been able to afford a vacation and upon our return I got attacked at the airport and ended up in the hospital. I got an email this morning that my pet was found via microchip after being hit by a car.
My dogs were supposed to be at my mother's and I had no idea she was missing! I rushed to go get her, injured I immediately brought her to a vet clinic. I just learned that her pelvis is broken and only a specialist can fix it. They originally told me it could cost up to $4000, but when they called the referral in Gulf Coast Animal Hospital said it would be closer to $6000. Then AFTER they received the x-ray films they said it would be over $7000.
Putting Prancer down is not an option. She's a certified seizure dog and we can't live without her.
As you can see, she has a large cut on her face but she's still alert and full of life. She can't suffer, I can't let that happen. She wouldn't have to die because I'm not able to afford surgery.
PLEASE help! Anything! Pass this where you can! This is our baby.
