Help Pragya in her battle with Breast Cancer

I am fundraising for my sister in law, Pragya who received a tough cancer diagnosis in February 2024. My brother Ankur and Pragya met in high school and have been together ever since. They got married young and have tried to start a family for the last few years.

In the midst of an already challenging IVF journey, Pragya and Ankur’s world stopped when instead of a happy news they were expecting, they received a heartbreaking diagnosis of breast cancer.

The treatment plan their Oncologist provided started with sessions of Chemotherapy followed by a Surgery and then followed by Radiotherapy. Unfortunately due to life threatening side effects like Adrenal Crisis, dropping heart rate, nearly loss of vision in left eye, the medical team was forced to stop the Chemotherapy sessions. Because of this they made the decision to complete the surgery instead.

We are reaching out to you to seek your help in the next phase of her treatment. After speaking with multiple doctors around the world, given Pragya’s medical history and side effects previously experienced with chemotherapy, the best step forward recommended is Proton Radiotherapy. This form of radiation will not just provide Pragya a holistic treatment but will also help not cause any further damage to her lungs.

I have known Pragya for over 20 years and throughout this time she has been strong willed, independent and fiercely a go getter. Even with her cancer diagnosis, Pragya has continued to stay positive and take on the treatment with a formidable spirit.

All the funds raised will be used for the treatment and medical expenses and will alleviate their financial burden on this long road to recovery.
