The Pittsburgh Public Schools All City Marching Band is a group of 45 - 50 students from grades 7 - 12! These talented band members have an amazing opportunity to participate in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. The students will travel from Pittsburgh, PA on May 24th and head down to Washington, D.C. The first day of the trip, students will have an incredible opportunity to visit and tour the National Museum of African American History and Culture. After touring the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the students will then travel to the U.S. Capitol Building to hear the National Symphony Orchestra perform live. On May 25th, the Pittsburgh Public Schools All City Marching Band will perform in the National Memorial Day Parade! Forty-five students will have an amazing opportunity to perform in our nation's capital and their performance will be live streamed through PBS. This is an amazing opportunity for the marching band students in the Pittsburgh Public Schools All City Marching Band!
Several members of the marching band are unable to raise the money for the overall payment of the trip. This is due to a wide variety of reasons. The donations will go to the overall cost of the trip and the funds will be distributed to the students who are struggling to pay off their trip.
