Help Power the Fairhaven Animal Shelter

It has come to our attention that the Fairhaven Animal Shelter needs a generator to keep the animals safe during storms and power outages. A local electrician and plumber, Mike Rotondo & Wayne Fostin, will donate their time to install the generator, but we need to raise funds to purchase the unit!

“When we lost power in the last blizzard we were without power for over 20 hours, and the temperatures dropped as low 30 degrees in the shelter with no heat. We had to come in throughout the night to check on the animals and try to keep them warm. When we have another bad winter storm or hurricane this generator will prevent that from happening again and keep our animals and staff safe.” - Terry Cripps, Fairhaven Animal Control Officer

With the money raised, we will buy a 20kW Generac Automatic Transfer Emergency Power System that will automatically transfer electricity to generator power in the event of a utility outage and power the entire building.
