Our good friend and colleague Powell Randolph successfully defeated oral cancer back in 2011 and has been cancer free since. Unfortunately, the operations, chemotherapy, radiation and esophageal scarring repair, has caused the bones in his jaw to deteriorate over the course of years. The doctors have needed to go in and repair and replace bones for some time now. Due to the expense and trauma it would cause to his body Powell put it off as long as he could. But the bone deterioration has gotten to the point that the doctors said it needed to be repaired NOW. So on October 27th Powell went into an 8 and 1/2 hour surgery to replace portions of the bones in his mouth with bones and skin grafts from his leg along with a titanium base. It will be a long and expensive healing process along with adding teeth over the next year or so.
Because of how intrusive the operation was and the length of time to heal from this type of surgery, Powell and his family will need assistance in paying their bills over the next few months as he won't be able to work. So anything that you can do to help would be immeasurably appreciated.
Thank you for considering financial help and if you can't help financially, that's fine too. Prayers for his healing and mental well being are just as important!
Thank you!!
