my story: I took potato to the vet yesterday and her bloodwork came back and she has Cushing’s disease. Cushing’s disease is the overproduction of the cortisol hormone & while it isn’t fatal at first, it will decrease her quality of life until it ultimately takes her life if left untreated. She will become lethargic and have even weaker muscles until she can’t walk anymore. She already has the excess thirst, hunger, urination, weight & hair loss right now. Treatments start at $1,500 for just the first 2 MONTHS and then will go to down to one month and then once a year. I’m looking at at least $8,000.
I’m just at a loss right now. With my second hip replacement coming up in 11 days, not being able to work, and now this-I’m spent, donezo, cashed out. This dog means the whole WORLD to me as she was my mother’s who is now passed and she is the last living piece of her. I will do anything in my power to keep her healthy and not in pain; but I’m also realizing that it’s not going to be possible to do this alone and it’s okay to ask for help. So, here I am, asking for whatever you can donate to little Bella Wella Wooski’s cause. I know how many lives she has touched and how many people love her. I appreciate any and all help
