Help Portia Rebuild After Being Displaced in the Jan 8 Fires

Hey friends! My name is Theresa, and I've been a Pasadena, California resident for over a decade. My friend and former Altadena resident Portia is staying with me temporarily since she was displaced by the Eaton Canyon fires, and I'm raising funds for her to start over again.

Portia is visually impaired and recently began experiencing significant hearing loss. Additionally, a few months back, Portia was facing homelessness. After an extended struggle to secure housing, she was finally settled into her new home in Altadena when the Eaton Canyon fires suddenly and violently destroyed her place of residence. Unfortunately, due to the high winds and rapidly burning fires, Portia lost her home and all her possessions.

All money raised in this campaign will go directly to Portia via direct deposit, and any funds raised above our goal will go towards her monthly expenses.

Portia is a wonderfully supportive friend and partner, caring dog owner, and talented needleworker. She's been pursuing her degree in early childhood education for a few years now, hoping to work with children that are both visually impaired and have special educational needs.
