Help Porter's Family Remain By His Side
Donation protected
After a couple of weeks of headaches and generally not feeling well, my grandson Porter Smith (14) woke up last Thursday vomiting and suffering with an unbearable headache. He was taken to the ER at Montrose Memorial Hospital where he was evaluated and diagnosed with a ruptured brain aneurysm (blood clot) and sinus thrombosis which has led to meningitis. On Sunday he underwent sinus surgery to help clear out the infection and now we are just waiting to hear more from today's MRI.
Porter's dad Tyler and stepmom Arien, along Porter's whole family , have been in Salt lake since traveling over the snowy mountains to be by his side on Thursday evening. It was so frightening for Tyler to be on the road with little or no information about Porter's condition. And now that they are there in SLC with their sweet boy, I would like to ask for some financial help for them to remain there without worry. Each day has brought new challenges and we are still unsure of what comes next.
Porter is Tyler's oldest son, pictured here( top left) with the rest of their family. He is a smart boy, loves sports, especially baseball. But to me, I think of him as KIND, always putting other people's feeling first. I love that about him.
Please consider helping Tyler and Arien with whatever you can, so that they can stay close to Porter and reassure him through this frightening time. We LOVE you Porter!!!!!
