Help Poppy to smash the London Marathon!!
Since April 2018 I have been a wheelchair user; initially I received no help - I was only just 17 and was told I was too old for a child's wheelchair but not old enough for an adult's wheelchair! Life was tough and it was difficult to adjust to the numerous life changes.
In October 2019 I was admitted to a residential rehabilitation unit for a 12 week treatment plan, which is when my mental health took a down-turn and for the next 3 years I really struggled with self harm and suicide attempts.
In January 2023 my mental health turned the corner and in May I attempted and completed my first 10k at the Gatwick Run in my day chair! I loved it and caught the racing bug. I am excited to announce that I have been lucky enough to secure a charity place in 2024's London Marathon.
I'm raising money in aid of Scope and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
