Princess Poppy is a six-year-old Thoroughbred that not long ago found her forever home with her loving new owner. Poppy and her owner formed a great bond from the beginning as they worked on trust and their relationship as a team. Poppy was not only saved from her previous life, but she also brightened up the life of her new owner, bringing her the joy of owning and bonding with horses she had forgotten. Soon after the pair met, her owner was sick with Covid- 19, so was unable to visit her beloved Poppy for many days. During this time, she sustained an injury to her eye that turned into an eye abscess and uveitis. In order to save Poppy's eye, try to restore her vision, and allow for her to continue to thrive in her new life, she had to undergo surgery and is still receiving optic treatments several times each day.
