My name is Ashley and im reaching out to our support line today for my poppy. Nan and Pop have been there for me and all of us as much as they can in anyway they can. Now they need our help, nan can not help care for pop as much as needed with his surgery and the back and forth from the hospital and appointments is already accruing a lot on them from costly gas and food to hotel stays and more, with no end in sight. Nan and pop have been married 60 years, 60 years by each others side and this is no different but now they need our help so they can try to help make life as normal as possible again
Below I have written a little more on what has happened with pop. We know times are tough for everyone so if you cant donate, a simple share will go a long way
Our poppy , Joseph hansen is a man who has always put service and family first. As a proud military veteran who served in the Navy, he dedicated years of his life to our country and local community through his years at oxford central school district. Now, he is facing a deeply challenging personal battle, and we are asking our family and friends to rally around him.
Recently, due to complications from severe peripheral vascular disease (PVD), Poppy underwent a life-saving but life-altering leg amputation. This was a necessary step, but it marks the beginning of an incredibly long and expensive road to recovery.
Poppy is a fighter, and his spirit is strong, but the financial realities of this situation are overwhelming. We have started this campaign to help give him the best chance at regaining his independence and quality of life.
Your generous contribution will go directly towards making essential modifications to his home, such as installing necessary ramps, modifying his bathroom for a walk in shower/tub, and ensuring his living space is safe and navigable for him.
Our poppy, has always been the one to help others. Now, we have the opportunity to serve him. Every donation, every share, and every prayer brings him one step closer to getting back on his feet. Thank you for helping us give our veteran and poppy the support and care he deserves.
