Help Poplar & Birch get back on their Feet

On Tuesday, June 28th, Ashley, the owner of Poplar and Birch woke up to calls that there was a fire immediately next to her building. Although she was extremely grateful that her building was still standing when she arrived on the scene, that didn't mean she could run things as usual. All of her product was completely destroyed by water and smoke damage.

With insurance taking weeks or maybe months before financial help becomes available, Ashley’s only source of income has been cut off. With all of her stock damaged by smoke and water, unable to be sold, she is no longer able to support her family (she has two beautiful twin baby boys), she also isn’t able to continue to support the completion of her second location which is already underway.

The purchase of gift cards to use at a later date has been an incredible support but many are still looking for ways to offer support that will help Ashley re-stock the store, bring in some revenue, and get business back up and running as soon as possible.

As a small retail business owner myself, it’s hard to imagine the situation that Poplar & Birch is in right now. My heart is heavy knowing the journey she is on right now and how hard it would be knowing that my only source of income is completely gone in a situation completely out of my control. I set up this go fund me to be a place where those looking to support, give hope, and send love to Ashley can contribute in a tangible and impactful way.

We shouldn't have to go through hard things alone, and as a community of individuals who love Ashley, Poplar + Birch and supporting the communities we find ourselves in, we believe we can support her during this time.
