{لِّيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُومَاتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّن بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۖ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ} الحج(28)

As the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah draw near, we remember the sacrifice and sincerity of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) — a reminder of what it truly means to submit to Allah with a sincere heart.

Alhamdulillah, with your generosity, we previously raised $2,715 in our most recent fundraiser, which was used to provide food packages and cash gifts to vulnerable families, as shared in our earlier updates. Your support brought real relief and touched many lives.

Today, we are continuing this tradition by launching our Qurbani campaign for Yemen. We will have a modest goal of $3,000 for this campaign.

In the suburbs of Hudiedah, there are families who haven’t tasted meat for months, children who watch others celebrate Eid while their own tables remain empty. Mothers who try to comfort their children with whatever little they have, carrying a quiet pain no one sees.

For them, your Qurbani is not just a ritual. It is relief. It is dignity. It is a moment where they feel remembered, where Eid finally feels like Eid.

Allah says in the Qur’an: “Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.” (Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)

Through Takatof Initiative charity volunteers on the ground, your Qurbani will be carried out with care, according to Islamic guidelines, and distributed directly to the most vulnerable families.

Qurbani prices this year (average for Yemen):

• Sheep/Goat (1 share): around $100 – $120 (≈ £85–£95)

• Cow (full animal): around $1,200 (can be shared between 7 people)

Even a single share can feed an entire family and bring joy to their Eid.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The son of Adam does not do any action on the Day of Sacrifice that is more beloved to Allah than shedding blood (of the sacrifice).”

Imagine the smile of a child who finally tastes meat on Eid.

Imagine a mother raising her hands and making du‘a for you by name.

Give for the sake of Allah.

Be the reason a family feels joy this Eid.

Be the mercy that reaches them when they feel forgotten.

May Allah accept from you, place barakah in your wealth and your children, protect your loved ones, and multiply your reward beyond measure.
