My cat Ponyo took a very bad fall yesterday (July 18) and we immediately took her to the emergency vet, where we were told her back right leg is badly broken and upon discussing it with the specialist surgeon the best option for her is amputation. We were quoted nearly $4000 to do this by every clinic we've called so far and are trying our best to figure it out for her sake, but we have a less than 3 week old baby at the moment and that cost is hard to swing. Ponyo is an extremely active cat so amputation would allow her to get back to her normal self as quickly as possible and regain the quality of life she deserves, and allow her to return to her best friend which is our other cat that she's very bonded with. We're continuing to look for a better quote but for now this is the option we have. Any help extremely appreciated whether it be financially or just sharing, thank you everyone for reading.
