Hi friends. I need help with major surgery for my rescue Ponyo. As some of you recall, Ponyo was a stray dog running around my neighborhood, that I fostered her though Front Street Animal Shelter. She was skittish, severely malnourished, and had a flea infestation. Her paws, tips of her ears, and nose were burnt. She was full of scars, scabs, and the effects of her past abuse was obvious. Ponyo was microchipped, but her owners never came for her, so I had 30 days to find her a home, but we were in a pandemic and 30 days was too soon for a stray dog that was traumatized, and been on the streets for who knows how long. We went on unsuccessful meet and greets, where she would either hide between my legs, bark, and sometime growl, especially at men. Ponyo became incredibly attached to me, and of course, me to her. After 30 days, Ponyo became my dog because I was unable to find her a home. Today, Ponyo is a completely different dog. Happy, well behaved, and social.

A couple weeks ago, Ponyo began to limp. I assumed it was a minor injury that would resolve itself. After not seeing any improvement, I took her to her veterinarian. An xray of her hind leg has revealed that Ponyo has cancer. The bad news is that Ponyo has a tumor, that is disintegrating her bone. The good news is that further testing has revealed that that the cancer has not spread. Ponyo's life san be saved with a leg amputation.

We got call for an appointment for the procedure, along with a $5,000 quote. I have already spent over $1,600. on Ponyo's diagnosis. Care Credit authorized a small credit line, but the limit is far below the quote. I need help to save Ponyo. Please consider contributing towards Ponyo’s amputation.
