Help Pony Overcome Life-Threatening Blockage
Donation protected
Pony is a 6-year-old Doberman pinscher and is my heart dog. He and I have a connection like I’ve never experienced with another living creature in my life. He is a spunky, charismatic pup who has always had a penchant for eating things he shouldn’t.
In the 6 years we have been in each other’s lives, he has eaten rocks, socks, underwear, tissue paper, plastic, and a number of things he shouldn’t. He has always passed them—until now. Two nights ago, my daughter left her bathroom door open, and Pony came trotting out of there chewing on something that I believe to be a feminine hygiene product of some sort. Before I could get it from his mouth, he swallowed it. Last night, he began exhibiting symptoms of a blockage and he needs surgery to remove it. Unfortunately, we do not have any spare funds at the moment. My husband has been ill and had a perforated bowel on March 16. He is still on IV antibiotics, and the medical expenses have consumed every last penny we have and THEN some. We have a gofundme already in place to help with my husband’s medical expenses. But now here we are—my heart dog needs emergency veterinary care and we cannot afford to even have diagnostics done on him—let alone afford the surgery to remove a blockage. Please help us keep my baby puppy alive!
