Help Ponchy Heal from Severe Burns

Dear Community, Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for assistance during this challenging time. Our beloved dog, Ponchy, who has been a cherished member of our family for 13 years, has suffered a terrible accident.

This morning our sweet dog accidentally fell into the deep fire pit in our backyard, which still contained hot coals from the previous night. As a result, he sustained severe burns all over his paws, legs, belly, groin, and genitals. The pain he is enduring is unimaginable, and our hearts ache to see him suffer.

Currently, he is receiving intensive care at a local animal hospital, where he is hooked up to an IV and receiving pain medication. The veterinarians have informed us that he will require extensive treatment, likely including a week or longer in the ICU, to recover from his injuries.

This heartbreaking situation has come at a particularly challenging time for our family. We are in the midst of moving to a new home, and we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first child within the next couple months. The financial strain of unexpected medical bills for our dog is overwhelming.
