My name is Salyssa, and I am Poncho Solis' great-granddaughter. I am doing this GoFundMe as my great-grandfather is in a time of need. He lost his home in Madera today from a tragic house fire.

My grandpa has been a resident of Madera for many, many years. This was the home he raised his kids in, the house we gathered in for family gatherings, and many of us grew up there creating beautiful memories. It was not just a home for him but for all his family as well when we all came together.

My grandfather is a kind and sweet soul who would give you the shirt off his back if it came down to it. He has lost everything in this fire, including his clothes, shoes, hearing aids, and basically the basic necessities you need for everyday living. We aren't asking for much but just for some help and support in this rough time. Even just a share goes a long way.
