Update 16/06/2026

Hi all,
We are so happy to share that Polycarp has successfully completed his second surgery and is at home recovering.

His next surgery is planned for 3 months time in Kijabe for jaw tumour removal.

We want to thank everyone for their continued support. It has been a long journey for this young man. We are so thankful to God and to everyone who has made the surgeries possible so far.

Please continue to keep Polycarp in your prayers. We are still hoping to meet our target to continue to fund the upcoming surgeries.

Thank you all.

Update January 2026: Next appointment is 13th January. We should know more then about upcoming op date.

The right ear is hearing very well the eye is good the only problem which I see is swelling but he will be fine. Polycarp has returned to school in year 7 - Polycarp's Father

Update: Because of your help, we have paid his medical fees & transport, accommodation costs etc. In September he had the first of many operations to come. Before his surgery, he had a process called embolization. His first operation as I understand, was to fix his arteries and veins. He & his father have been travelling to and from Nairobi, some 12 hrs by bus.

I’ve attached a picture of this wonderful young boy, a happy boy despite his conditions, post-surgery. You’ll note by the pic that we have a long road ahead, a long commitment to helping him both medically and educationally. If you’d like to support his further medical interventions, you can do that either directly into our AIDex account (details below) or via a go fund me page at this link. Both are tax deductible.

Young Polycarp, the now 13-year-old with a benign tumour called Neurofibroma, a malformation on his face that’s been pressing on his brain. The issues happened at birth, but it's been growing bigger closing his eye and ear. It's been caused by abnormal connections between the arteries and veins. It requires a multi-disciplinary medical team of specialists, and we were able to find a team in Nairobi who were willing to help Polycarp, praise God.
