Help My Mother Polly Smith Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

On Friday, July 25, 2025, tragedy struck when my mother’s home was struck by lightning and caught fire. Within moments, everything she owned—her belongings, memories, and the place she called home—was completely destroyed. Thankfully, she is safe, but she has lost nearly everything else. She also didn’t have any renters insurance which makes this even more difficult.

My mother has always been the kind of person who puts others first and she will do anything to put a smile on your face. Her heart is full of love. She's shown love, strength, and resilience through every hardship, but this is something no one can face alone. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming, and she is now starting from scratch with little more than the clothes she had on. Being around her and seeing the hurt behind her smile is very depressing. I stare at her and see that she’s trying to hide her pain of losing almost everything. She has been currently staying at different hotels that’s affordable but now she has ran out of money.

We’re reaching out with humble hearts to ask for your help.
