Hello, the girl in the picture is Polina, she is a 4-year-old girl fleeing the war in Ukraine with her family like many others, but.. Polina is currently undergoing cancer treatment. With the war forcing families out of Ukraine, Polina now only has enough medicine to last her to the end of March. Her family are hoping to get to Poland.

I saw this picture from a journalist on Twitter and couldn't stomach the thought of a young child with cancer fleeing a war. I tracked down Polina's aunt and then mother through social media, and I am in contact with them now. They have not asked for any monetary relief but just ideas on how to get Polina's medicine. Still, time is not on their side, so I have created this Go-Fund-Me to put in place the ability to purchase this medicine privately as soon as possible. It is currently around £3000 for 60 tablets, and I have added leverage for travel costs etc., in the hope if we can source this now, then once settled in Poland, her medication can be arranged through the proper channels

The medicine is called Retsevmo and is currently a trial drug they are prescribed from Israel. I have the prescription, and I am looking at contacting a manufacturer here in the EU to lobby for us to privately purchase the drug and send it to her family when they land in Poland.

07/03/22 - we have had to up the target to £10,000 as it appears the £3000 is for 1 course of 60x40mg. Going through Ksenia documents , it looks like they need 3x of these 

* any additional funds will be sent to the generic Ukrainian relief fund
