Pogi is my beloved 13-year-old black pug who has been a constant source of joy and companionship. Over the past few months, I noticed he was struggling—he stopped eating, became lethargic, and lost interest in playing. After a visit to the vet, we discovered that Pogi was suffering from severe dental issues and infections that were causing him significant pain and discomfort.

The vet had to extract 16 of Pogi’s teeth due to abscesses and infections, and he’s also battling serious ear infections that have affected his hearing and balance. On top of these challenges, Pogi recently suffered a hip and groin sprain, which has made it even harder for him to get around and enjoy his usual activities. Right now, Pogi is on several medications, and I have to be very careful with his diet since he can only eat soft foods. His recovery is my top priority, and I’m doing everything I can to keep him comfortable and happy during this difficult time.

Caring for a senior dog with complex medical needs is emotionally and financially challenging. The costs of his treatments, medications, and ongoing care have added up quickly.
