Help Pocket Recover from Surgery and Vet Bills

Pocket is your typical spicy and crazy orange cat! He’s super lovey and adds chaos to our house.. whether it’s flooding the kitchen with the water dish, or throwing his empty dish down the stairs so the maid will fill it… he’s loved!
Thursday 3/19 Pocket began to act off at home, he was howling and going in and out of the litter box, then the vomiting started. Being a previous urinary cat he was taken right in to the vet to make sure he was not “blocked” or trying to block.. turned out he was not but remained at the vet to be able to gain a urine sample. Friday 3/20 the sample showed an infection.. medication prescribed and home he went. Over the weekend he was listless and did not eat or drink, by Sunday 3/22 he was cold, nose and gums white and extremely lethargic. Back to the vet he went on Monday 3/23 and bloodwork was run, showing up pancreatitis! New meds on board, fluids given, home he went. Still not eating at all. Poor guy looks awful and painful.. Returned for repeat fluids today 3/24, then vomiting began again, projectile vomiting, X-ray performed and the stomach was so bloated, unable to tell if there was gastric torsion or a foreign body happening? Truthfully the only option now, exploratory surgery. The unexpected bill already high, and adding surgery, but Pocket is 3 &1/2 years old and deserved the chance..

Surgery performed, foreign body located and removed!! If your children play hockey you would be familiar with “knee” hockey balls.. in this house all the animals play hockey with our boy.. the dogs like to chew the balls, apparently Pocket thought a piece looked appetizing.. let this be a lesson.. make sure you throw out all pieces of any damaged toys that pets may find delicious!

Asking for any help to put towards the unexpected bills and his still road to recover. Thanks for reading!
