My name is Kimberly and I want to share with you the story of a very special dog. One morning, I found him outside the gym. He was scared, lonely, and covered in fleas, with matted fur full of stickers that were poking him. He was clearly exhausted and had been through so much, yet when I looked into his eyes, I saw a spark of hope. I couldn't leave him behind.
I brought him home, gave him the care he needed, and over time, his transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. I chose to name him Pluto. With love, care, and patience, Pluto’s coat is soft again, his energy has returned, and his spirit is now full of joy. He’s no longer the lonely, scared dog I found that day. He’s a happy, playful, and loving companion. But we both know that his journey doesn’t stop here.
Our Next Chapter: Becoming a Therapy Dog
I’ve always believed in the power of animals to heal, and Pluto has proven this every single day. Now, we want to give back to our community and beyond by training him to become a certified therapy dog. Together, we want to visit hospice centers, VA clinics, and nursing homes to bring joy and comfort to those who need it most.
Our dream is to also take Pluto on the road, spreading love and healing across other communities. He’s proven to be incredibly intuitive, and I believe he has a special gift to bring peace and companionship to anyone who needs it.
