Help Plogger Paul Waye 'uit de brand'

Op 11 mei gebeurde er iets dat iedereen kan gebeuren. Brand. Op deze dag trof het noodlot onze goede plogging vriend Paul Waye, waar in zijn achtertuin de schuur in de brand is gevlogen.
Paul, woonachtig in Haarlem, maakt al tientallen jaren in zijn vrije tijd de wereld elke dag een beetje mooier door te 'ploggen', oftewel zwerfafval opruimen tijdens het sporten. Paul is fanatiek hardloper en fietser en ruimt ongelofelijk veel zwerfafval op in zijn omgeving, maar ook ver daarbuiten.

Hij wisselt graag zijn sportieve bezigheden af. Naast hardlopen legt hij regelmatig op zijn fiets lange afstanden af, en maakt hij 'plogging pitstops'.
Nu zijn schuur is afgebrand kan hij helaas niet meer fietsen. In de schuur stonden zijn fietsen, materiaal, naast vele dierbare herinneringen. De brand heeft dit alles verwoest. Van wat er vergoed door de verzekering zal paul van alles moeten vervangen, en een nieuwe fiets is daarbij het laatste op het lijstje. Wij merken dat Paul erg is aangedaan door dit materiële en emotionele verlies, en dat gaat ons aan het hart aangezien Paul zo'n positief persoon is.
Paul werkt naast deze fantastische hobby plogging ook 'gewoon' full time. Daarnaast steekt hij vrijwillig heel veel tijd in het inspireren van anderen om de wereld mooier te maken. Dit doet hij door via sociale media zeer motiverende en vermakelijke filmpjes, foto's en verslagen te maken en posten. Hij is een echt uithangbord voor de groeiende en populaire trend plogging in Nederland. Als Engelsman bereikt hij ook mensen over de hele wereld.

Wij hopen dat we voor Paul geld in kunnen zamelen zodat hij kan doorgaan met het maken van een mega verschil! Helaas beschikt Paul niet over de middelen om zomaar al zijn materiaal te vervangen. hij heeft jarenlang heel hard gewerkt en gespaard om zijn materiaal aan te schaffen en zelf te bouwen, en nu is hij alles kwijt.

On May 11th something happened that could happen to anyone. Fire. On this day fate struck our good plogging friend Paul Waye, where his shed caught fire in his backyard.
Paul, who lives in Haarlem, Holland, has been making the world a little more beautiful every day in his spare time for decades by 'plogging', or cleaning up litter during sports. Paul is a fanatic runner and cyclist and cleans up an incredible amount of litter in his area, but also far beyond where he lives.

He likes to vary his sporting activities. In addition to running, he regularly covers long distances on his bike and makes 'plogging pit stops'.
Unfortunately, now that his shed has burned down, he can no longer cycle. In the shed were his bicycles, equipment, next to many dear memories. The fire destroyed all of this. It is unclear what insurance will decide but it looks like replacing the bikes is going to be at the bottom of the list where the insurance money will go to. We notice that Paul is deeply affected by this material and emotional loss, and that touches our heart as Paul is such a positive person.
In addition to this fantastic hobby of plogging, Paul also works full time. He also voluntarily invests a lot of time in inspiring others to make the world a better place. He does this by making and posting highly motivating and entertaining videos, photos and reports via social media. He is a real showcase for the growing and popular trend of plogging in the Netherlands. As an Englishman he also reaches people all over the world.

We hope that we can raise money for Paul so that he can continue to make a huge difference for nature. Unfortunately, Paul does not have the means to replace all of his material just like that. He worked very hard and saved for years to buy and build his equipment, and now he has lost everything.
We call on you to make a mini difference !!
