Hello my name is Mia Newberry. I play soccer or as some may call it futbol. I play for the girls 2009 Napa United 1839 academy. Playing the sport that I love means so much to me in a way I could never explain. When putting on my cleats it’s like my problems suddenly go away. I never thought I’d love something so much as playing soccer. Myself and seventeen other girls were fortunate enough to be picked and invited to play in a highly competitive soccer tournament in England this August.

We will be traveling to Leicester, England staying at Oakham school in a house on campus with our entire team! We will be playing against professional clubs like Manchester United!!!

Our coach said we will be on a strict schedule with team meetings, practices, up to 12 games in only 4 days, rest and recovery and of course eating!

This opportunity doesn’t come a long very often and it was a little last minute for my family and I to save money for the trip. I would appreciate any donations that you are willing to give and I promise to play my heart out for you and document my trip through video to share my experiences.
