Update:
We are beyond grateful to share that he is recovering amazingly. The doctors see no major obstacles ahead, and his progress has been nothing short of inspiring. He has truly been a soldier through all of this—pushing forward, cracking jokes, and keeping spirits high.
The visits, messages, and support from all of you have been a huge source of motivation for him. Earlier today, we were told that as long as he continues in this positive direction, he could be out of the hospital soon.
Our journey is not over yet, but we are one step closer. He will be returning to the burn center regularly for bandage changes and check-ups, but he is officially on the road to recovery.

On what should have been a normal night, our lives were turned upside down in an instant. My boyfriend, PJ , was tragically caught in a bonfire explosion, leaving him with severe burns over 25% of his body — including painful second- and third-degree burns.
He is now facing a long, difficult road to recovery that will require countless hospital visits, skin grafts, and time away from work. We live an hour and a half from the burn center, making each trip an added challenge — both physically and financially.
PJ is not only fighting through this unimaginable pain, he is also a loving father to two amazing children who need him. I want his only focus to be on healing, not on mounting medical bills or the cost of traveling back and forth to the hospital.
We are humbly asking for help to cover:
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Travel costs to and from the burn center
• Basic living expenses while he is unable to work
