Help My Sweet Kitty PJ Beat FIP

Donation protected
This is my baby, PJ.

I rescued her almost a year ago now. She was found abandoned in a wearhouse last May. Small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, she was scared and confused. She had been separated from her momma too young, a feeling I understood all too well. It felt as though I needed her just as much as she needed me.

A spitting image of my mother's sweet kitty Phantom, I aptly named her PJ & brought her home a few weeks later. She quickly grew, in size and personality, into a loving, crazy, sassy, beautiful young kitten. Every day was a new adventure for the two of us & I kept thinking how lucky I was to be stuck with her for the next 10, 15 years.

But everything changed last week. She had been having some issues with the bathroom, and I knew her one-year check up was approaching, so I took her in for a full check up just to be safe. On Monday, I got the devastating news that PJ had been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) - a rare disease that is almost always fatal.

This news shattered my world. Having just lost my momma's old sweet kitty less than 2 months ago, I couldn't stomach the thought of losing another pet, losing yet another thing I loved.

After tons of advice & research, I found a drug that has been very effective in treating FIP in kitties across the world. It's an 84 day treatment that must administered every day at the same time. The hope of saving my kitty was enough for me to jump at the chance to get the medication, however, it is very expensive. The 3-month treatment will cost me between $4,000 - $5,000. As a recent college graduate, I am putting everything I can toward the treatment, however I do need some help. Whether it's a donation, a positive thought, a share/comment, or a prayer, anything is greatly appreciated. She's just a baby & deserves the right to live a long, healthy life.

PJ started this hopeful treatment on Tuesday & is responding well so far. Every day is a new challenge, however, hope is keeping me going. I have to believe she will recover & with your help, I know that will be possible.

Thank you for reading, and for any way you can help me through this difficult process. PJ & I would be forever grateful.
