Please, Can You Help Save Pixie?
Pixie, as she’s now been lovingly named, is just a tiny 12-week-old kitten who’s already been through more pain than any little soul should ever know.
She was found alone, terrified, and unable to move her back legs; likely hit by a car and left behind. She cried out in agony until help arrived. She’s now at the vets, being kept comfortable with pain relief, but the situation is critical.
After further examination, we learned the heartbreaking truth:
Pixie has serious pelvic fractures and a pulled tail, meaning she cannot stand or walk.
She has a deep wound that’s become infected, and she’s now anaemic from blood loss.
She’s on antibiotics and pain medication, but her condition is fragile.
Without urgent surgery, she will never be able to walk, and the infection could take her life.
The vets have said her only chance is a complex operation and intensive aftercare, costing around £5,000. Even then, she may remain incontinent, and her quality of life will have to be reassessed once she recovers.
As a small rescue, we simply don’t have the funds to cover this kind of emergency treatment on our own. Fundraising like this normally takes weeks, but Pixie doesn’t have weeks; she needs help now.
Without immediate funds, the heartbreaking alternative is that Pixie will have to be put to sleep.
Despite everything, this brave little girl is still fighting. Against all odds, she made it through the night, proof that she wants to live. She’s a fighter, and we can’t give up on her now.
Please, if you can, donate whatever you’re able, every single pound will go directly to her surgery and care. Even the smallest donation can make a huge difference. And if you can’t donate, please share her story far and wide.
Please, can you help save Pixie’s life?
