Hi there, humans! My name is Pixie. I am a rescue from the OHS and 10 years young. My mom has discovered that I am 50% Pittie, 25% Staffy, and 25% Coonhound, so I’m a big bundle of joy, love, kisses, and butt wags! Recently though, I got real sick with pneumonia because I eat stuff I’m not supposed to and then throw it up, resulting in me aspirating.

My mom is still recovering from surgery and we don’t have much money to cover the expensive vet bills. For urgent care, the chest x-ray and two antibiotics cost a total of $1,050. I might require a stay in the ICU which is about 2-4 thousand dollars a night. We don’t know how long I’ll need to stay, but I will need oxygen, antibiotics, and strict supervision until I can get better.

Due to the nature of the unknown, we’re asking for as much as you kind people can donate in order to cover as much as possible. I’m not ready to give up and leave my mom. I’ve got so many wonderful years left to enjoy!
