Hi!! My name is Kenzie and this is mine and my partners cat Pixel who is just under 2 years old!

Last night (8/7/25) he went to the emergency vet because he had thrown up everything in his stomach, was very wobbly, was having issues breathing, and couldn’t stop crying. We spent $2,500 for overnight stay with blood test, X-rays, meds, ect.

So, we first thought he had diabetes as his sugar was 500, luckily it lowered with fluids and he’s back to the normal number. However, we still have to get him additional bloodwork for the next coming days. As well as, because of this, our boy has lost quite a bit of his vision. Which means he can old see some shapes and maybe colors and he is still wobbly.

The Doctors suspect a neuropathy issue with his brain, as that can affect vision and then coordination as well. We cannot know the for sure though unless we get an MRI and a spinal fluid test and these go up to $6,000 for just the MRI and then the spinal fluid tests can range anywhere from $150-$500.
