The team at Pivot Support Services make up a local not-for-profit that walks alongside people doing it tough in our Great Southern community. Every day, we see people facing crisis, isolation, homelessness and uncertainty, and we work hard to make sure they do not face it alone.
Since opening our doors in 2005 as the Regional Counselling and Mentoring service, Pivot has been a lifeline for individuals and families across regional Western Australia. Through our Community Hub, Prisoner Reintegration services, NDIS supports, and New Leaf employment program, we provide practical and emotional assistance to people facing housing insecurity, financial stress, mental health challenges, and social isolation. Every day our team helps people find stability, hope, and connection, and we do it with compassion, respect, and a belief in the strength of community.
Right now, every dollar we hold is directed to these vital supports: keeping food on tables, roofs over heads, and helping local people get back on their feet. But the rent on our current office has increased substantially, and Pivot must relocate to a more affordable space. The problem is, if we use our existing funds to move, it means giving less to the very people who rely on us most.
That is why we are asking for your help.
We are fundraising specifically to cover the costs of moving: bond, advance rent, removalist and transport costs, accessibility improvements, IT setup, and basic fit out of a safe, welcoming new premises. This will allow us to safeguard every dollar of our current service funding for those who need it most, while securing a stable home for the future.
This move is not about a building, it is about keeping the doors open to a place where people know they will be heard, respected, and supported. By helping us move, you are helping us protect a lifeline for hundreds of individuals and families across the Great Southern.
If you can give, share, or simply spread the word, you will be helping ensure Pivot Support Services can continue to walk alongside people with kindness and dignity, building belonging and resilience in our community for years to come.
Thank you for believing in Pivot and in the power of community to look after one another.
