Help Piquita Get a Life-Saving Prosthetic Beak

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for your kindness and support for someone very dear to our heart—our little parakeet, Piquita.

Piquita was born with a beak deformity that made her beak extremely fragile. Despite this challenge, she’s always been full of life—chirping, playing, and showing her sweet, spicy, sassy, resilient spirit every day. But recently, the unthinkable happened: her entire bottom beak broke off completely.

When we rushed her to the vet, we were told the best option was to put her to euthanize. But when we look into her eyes, we still see so much life, so much trust, and such a strong will to keep going. We can’t give up on her.

There is hope. With a custom prosthetic beak, Piquita could regain the ability to eat, groom, and live comfortably again. The technology exists, but the cost is more than we can manage alone.

That’s why I’m asking for your help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her veterinary care, consultations with avian specialists at Florida State University, the creation and fitting of her prosthetic, and her recovery.
