My dear friend is preparing to do something truly extraordinary — she is donating a portion of her liver to help a teenager she has never met whose liver is failing.

Her act of pure kindness and courage is giving this young person a second chance to be a teenager. But while her heart is full, her wallet is stretched a little thin. The travel expenses related to the surgery, hospital stay, and recovery are not being reimbursed, and the costs are quickly adding up.

We are hoping to raise $1,000 to help cover her travel, lodging, and related expenses during this process. This amount will go up as she travels several times out to Pittsburgh last minute to test and prepare for the surgery.

She isn’t asking for recognition or reward — just the chance to help someone in need. Let’s come together to help her focus on healing and giving life, rather than worrying about finances.
