Help Piper Walk Again After Emergency Spinal Surgery
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help for my dog, Piper—my best friend and constant companion. She goes to work with me every day, and my customers absolutely adore her. She brings so much joy to everyone she meets.
This week, Piper was scheduled to have ACL surgery. But before that could even happen, something terrifying and unexpected occurred—she suddenly became paralyzed in her back legs.
I rushed her in for emergency care, and after an MRI, the doctors found that a disc in her spine had ruptured. Pieces of the disc had spread along her spinal cord across five vertebrae. She needed immediate, extensive surgery to give her any chance at recovery.
The surgery was long, but thankfully the doctors are happy with how it went. Piper is already showing some signs of feeling in her back feet, which gives us hope. We’re praying she continues to regain movement—but there is still a possibility of permanent paralysis.
So far, the cost of her emergency care has reached around $14,000, including:
Emergency MRI and diagnostics
Major spinal surgery
Hospital stay and medications
Rehabilitation and recovery care
Piper means everything to me. She’s been by my side through so much, and I can’t imagine life without her—or not giving her every chance to walk again.
We will continue to keep everyone updated on Piper’s recovery journey.
If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean the world to us. And if not, your thoughts and support are deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Piper’s story ❤️
