Help Piper Thrive: Fund Her Leg Surgery

My sister's fur baby, Piper, was recently diagnosed with cancer. For anyone who knows Kalee, Piper is her life! Piper is her best friend and her support animal.

Piper had surgery to remove her tumor in early Spring. Kalee has been closely monitoring Piper's health since. Unfortunately, the cancer is still in Piper's front leg. It has begun to protrude though the surface of her skin and has recently ruptured. At this point, Piper needs to have the entire leg removed all the way up to the shoulder. Kalee has carefully considered the options for Piper. The amputation is the only option aside from putting her sweet fur baby to sleep. Piper is still so full of life... barking at the mail man, chasing the squirrels, shoving her toy at you to play, etc. Piper is not ready to cross the rainbow bridge and we know it's not time to say goodbye.

Kalee is a hard working woman, but this unexpected expense is more than she can afford at the moment. She has too much pride to ask for help, so I decided to initiate some for her. She has met with several veterinarians seeking quotes. They are estimating anywhere from $6,000 - $8,000 for the services and procedure Piper will need. I am hoping this GoFundMe will help off set some of the financial costs related to Piper's surgery and allow Piper many more years with Kalee (well, all of us too).
