On the night of July 13th, we were out on our evening walk when we heard a faint meow in the distance. We stopped, turned on our flashlights, and discovered a tiny, abandoned kitten inside a pipe in the ground. Her eyes were so crusted over with discharge that she couldn’t see. She was covered in her own waste and surrounded by spiders. We knew immediately we had to help her.

We gently pulled her out, brought her home, cleaned her up, and gave her a warm place to sleep. Looking into the eyes of this precious little baby, we knew we couldn’t take her to a shelter. So, we named her Piper (for obvious reasons) and decided to foster her until she’s ready for adoption.

As you can imagine, the vet expenses have added up quickly—especially for people who hadn’t planned on fostering a neglected kitten. So far, we’ve spent over $600 on vet visits, which have included IV fluids, deworming, eye medication, and blood work. She’s also experiencing some digestive issues, and we’ll be taking her back to the vet for further treatment.

We’re asking for $2,500 to cover both past and upcoming medical expenses, including spaying, vaccinations, and microchipping. We'd also love to use a portion of the funds to get her fully set up with everything she’ll need to comfortably transition to her forever home in the coming months.

If all goes well, this amount should cover everything and allow us to give her the best care possible.

Thank you so much for reading. Any donation is deeply appreciated. <3
