Help Pinto Get to His Forever Home in the U.S.

Hi, my name is Vanessa and I recently found a sweet stray dog named Pinto wandering the streets of Tampico, Mexico. From the moment I saw him, I knew I couldn’t just walk away.

Pinto is gentle, mellow, and incredibly well-behaved — the kind of dog who could easily grow into a loyal companion or even a service dog. Sadly, like many abandoned dogs here, Pinto has suffered from neglect. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and routine vet care.

My mission is simple: get Pinto safe, healthy, and home to the United States, where he will either stay with me or be placed in a loving forever family.

Why I’m Asking for Help

Bringing a rescue dog from Mexico to the U.S. comes with many expenses, including:

• Vet bills (heartworm treatment, vaccines, parasite prevention, health certificate)

• Travel expenses (transport to the U.S. border, airline fees, crate, and required paperwork)

• Follow-up medical care once he arrives safely

I’ve already covered part of his care myself, but the travel costs are more than I can handle alone.

I’ve also helped other dogs while here and although I wouldn’t mind spending every last cent, I have to be realistic.

Why Pinto Deserves This Chance

Pinto has been through so much, yet he still greets everyone with a wagging tail and gentle eyes.

If it wasn’t for my anxiety of seeing him on the verge of dying on the beach, I don’t think he would have made it.

He deserves more than to be left behind — he deserves a chance at a safe, happy, and loved life.

I have never seen such a well-behaved dog.
