Hi friends, my name is Ashley and I'm Pinto Bean's mom!
If you're seeing this, you may know Pinto personally, may love his social media posts, or maybe this is your first time meeting us. Regardless, thanks for being here.
Unfortunately, Pinto Bean needs his second TPLO (dog ACL) surgery of 2024 and he is scheduled for surgery on Monday, September 23.
I'm here to humbly ask for help with his hefty vet bills.
Going through this major procedure 2x in one year is both financially and emotionally exhausting, but in doing so, Pinto will have the opportunity to live the rest of his life doing the things he loves like digging holes at the beach, spinning in cyclone circles, and playing with his doggo friends.
Thankfully, pet insurance will cover a portion of the surgery, but I will still be left to pay thousands out of pocket, again.
Pinto was a warrior while recovering from his first surgery this past January. It required 8 intensive weeks of initial recovery followed by 2 months of mom-run physical therapy and strength training. The first surgery was done on his left hind leg, and now his right hind leg will undergo the procedure. Thankfully, we took all the right steps and his first recovery went perfectly, and his leg is back to being strong and functional.
Knowing what to expect this time around, I have been mentally preparing for the undertaking it requires to get him back to peak health post-surgery.
I understand everyone has expenses in life, but it would mean the absolute world to us to receive donations of any amount towards this heavy financial lift.
Creating content with Pinto brings me so much joy, and watching his community grow has been a huge blessing. Now that I know what to expect in the recovery process, I plan to document the journey on Pinto's Instagram account so everyone can stay up to date on how he is doing and to provide resources for other dog parents entering the unknown territory of TPLO recovery.
