Help Pinot be the fastest dog on the beach again!

Hello from Caco and Halli!

Many of you have met our dog Pinot, a very happy and loved 5 year old black lab.  He loves being outside; we take him camping, swimming, on long hikes and his favorite activity is chasing sticks on the beach. We are trying to raise some money to help us pay for Pinot's surgery procedure.

We have had Pinot since he was a puppy and he is a very important part of our family.

Pinot has a lot of energy and we take him on adventures around Santa Barbara almost every single day. Pinot used to be the fastest dog at Hendry's Beach but as he grew up he started to show some pain and discomfort on his back leg. It was hard to watch him slowly getting more uncomfortable with his injury while still having tons of energy to play and chase sticks.

Today, although Pinot can still go on short walks on the leash in town, he is in a lot of pain and sometimes he has a hard time getting up from his naps and walking around.

Recently Pinot got diagnosed with a complete torn ligament of his back right knee by Dr. Shields at the Advanced Veterinary Clinic in town.  The technical name for his injury is Right Canal Cruciate ligament injury. Due to his young age and life expectancy surgery is highly recommended to him.

He is going to go through a procedure called Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO). More information about the procedure can be found on the link below if you are interested on the technical side of it. His surgery is scheduled for this Spring.

The estimated cost for the surgery is about $6,000.00.

The good news is that the recovery for his injury has a 90% to 95% success rate.  After the procedure he is going to have a normal life like any other happy pup. The recovery process is long and challenging and is gonna add some more cost to the total amount.

We understand that these are difficult and challenging times for everyone and we  would really appreciate any kind of help that we can get, either a few dollars or simply sending positive thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

We promise to keep this page updated with every step of his recovery process and all the funds raised will be entirely used to help pay for his surgery.

If you are unable to donate at this time then we would really appreciate if you can share this link to your Facebook or on any other social media.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Pinot, family and friends.
