Help Pinky Save His Eye: Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Mady. If you know me, you know how much my dogs mean to me. Pinky is my soul dog, my baby & best friend. For those that don’t know Pinky, he’s the most sweetest Pekingese puppy you’ll ever meet. He loves to play and cuddle. He’s only 10-months - old turning 11 months January 2nd. Pinky is the the strongest and sweetest puppy I’ve ever known.
Unfortunately, he’s a brachycephalic puppy meaning he’s a flat faced breed causing health problems such as breathing issues, eye issues, & other problems… meaning his eyes and nose are VERY SENSITIVE! On New Years Eve, couple hours before New Years, Pinky was playing with our other dog Mia (German Shepherd mixed Husky.) While they were playing an accident happened Pinky’s eye came out his socket. It’s so devastating hearing him cry so loud, I never heard anything like that from him. We rushed him to the Emergency Room, a very expensive emergency room. The Veterinarian's gave us two options if we should save his eye by putting his eye back in his socket and give him medication for life but he’ll still be blind or either remove his eye and sew his eye shut and he’ll just have one eye. We decided to try and save his eye even though he’ll still be blind on one side. The initial medical bill for the surgery is $3,000. Daily Eye Medications bill is $390. We were trying to keep him in the ER over night but the stay it self was expensive, the other option was to take him back home with medications until Thursday January 2nd that bill was $500. We are really devastated this happened to Pinky especially before the New Years.
I know the holidays can be a financially challenging time for many, but any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me, my family and Pinky. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing his story. Your support could make all the difference.
