Help pinky & cora secure safe housing
Pinky is a single mom to a six year old, Cora. Cora is homeschooled.
Pinky’s partner/ Coras dad, passed away when Cora was 2. They stayed at their current housing after his passing but in the past year and a half and with the pandemic, they have been struggling to pay current monthly bills while also retaining enough funds at once to move to a more affordable apartment.
Pinky was brutally arrested during a BLM protest on Nov 4th and got charged with dangerous weapon for having a knife in her pocket. She has spent $1.5k to her Laywer to get the best outcome in court. And has stunted them moving into a more affordable apartment.
On March 28th, Pinky had her car break down and was deemed unrepairable so she is looking to secure transportation for her and her daughter also.
This fundraiser will cover move in costs* of apartment. (any donations not directly used for move in costs will pay off bills that are overdue.)
*Rent of a studio or one bedroom is $950-$1200 and move in costs usually are one months rent and deposit equal to one months rent. (Plus application fees)
