Help Pierre Find Stability, Safety, and Strength Again

My name is Adarius Jones, and I’m raising funds for my friend Pierre Victor — a man who has been through more pain and hardship than anyone should ever have to face.

A few nights ago, Pierre showed up at my door at 3 AM in a Lyft, with nowhere else to go after being discharged from Grady Hospital. He was scared, exhausted, and completely alone. Pierre suffers from Ataxia, a serious neurological brain disease that affects his balance and coordination.His mother also had ataxia until she unfortunately passed away in 2017 from the disease. Because of this condition, he cannot walk on his own and falls frequently, leaving his body battered and bruised. His condition has progressed so far that many parts of his body are damaged beyond repair — and to make matters worse, he was recently hit by a car.

Pierre is on Medicare, but that only covers so much. He doesn’t qualify for Medicaid and cannot afford the cost of assisted living or 24-hour care — both of which he desperately needs.

I’ve started this fundraiser to help Pierre get the support and equipment that could change his life, including:

A Life Glider, a specialized walker designed to help him regain balance and strength

Safe housing and personal care assistance

Medical and hygiene supplies to maintain his health and dignity

Transportation and cleaning help to keep his living environment safe

Pierre has fought every day just to survive — and despite everything, he still manages to smile and hold on to hope. I’m doing everything I can to make sure he’s not forgotten, but I can’t do it alone.
