I am Melissa Derreumaux, and Pierre and I have been friends for almost 30 years. Pierre, along with his wife and young son, have been devastated by the recent Eaton fire. Although their home survived, the proximity of their house to the fires makes it impossible for them to return anytime soon. There is extensive smoke damage, ash, no electricity or clean water, and the level of toxins in the air is unsafe to breathe. Pierre is a real estate photographer local to Altadena, and he has incurred numerous cancelations causing him to lose significant income. He and his wife and son love the outdoors and are often seen hiking the foothills that burned last week.
