Help Pierogi Have Emergency Surgery

Hello, I’m Chyanne, and I recently fostered a very sweet kitten named Pierogi. I adopted her out to my close friend Ceire!! They are now besties, it’s great! Pierogi just got spayed last week, but unfortunately had a very rare complication that essentially blocked off an area of her intestines. Because of this, she now is in emergency care with a vet. They are unsure how extensive the damage is, but this could lead to a very scary (and costly) surgery. The quote for the surgery is about $5,000 and although Pierogi is getting the surgery either way, this would really help alleviate the stress of having to pay $5,000 especially around the holidays. I don’t want this to be a stressful time for Ceire while she’s going through this scary time with her brand new kitten. Anything helps!! Please share if you can!!

edit: pierogi was stable enough to wait until this morning to start surgery. It’s going to be even more complicated than they originally thought and the surgery is going to cost between $8,000 and $10,000 now. This feels like an impossible feat, but I know we can do this. Pierogi is an incredible and perfect kitten and I want to make sure that cost isn’t affecting the care that she gets.

pierogi is out of surgery and did super well!! The final amount for the surgery came out to $6127 all together, so overall not as bad as we originally thought!!! Phew!! Pierogi is now home with Ceire and they’re cuddling up a storm. Pierogi can’t jump for two weeks and has to be on some strong kitty narcotics for the pain, but overall is doing just fine.
