Hello. My name is Charday and I am Pierogi's mom. Pierogi came into our life a few years ago as a Christmas gift from my husband. We had both wanted a 3-legged dog and I also wanted a small Bulldog. Behold, we got our wish and precious Pierogi fell into our laps.

Not only has he been a joy in our lives, he brings a smile to almost everyone he meets. People are obsessed with Pierogi and his unique features. He is the boss of his mom's dog clothing company and model as well. He is known throughout the vendor community in the Virginia Beach area and people expect to see him when we are at events.

Right now, Pierogi is going through an unexpected and life-threatening battle. He started having seizures the other night, so dad rushed him to the ER. Unfortunately, I was not able to go with them because I am recovering from a hip replacement surgery. Since being at the vet, he has had multiple seizures and now has fluid in his lungs, which is not ideal for short-snouted dogs. We have insurance that will cover up to $5k for his bills and we have already paid about $2k. The doctor advised us that anesthesia for 12 hours is going to be $8k. We want to give him his best shot, so we approved the first 12 hours so he can get a breathing tube that will hopefully help him breathe better, but after that, I don't think we will be able to keep him on it and the vet thinks he may need to be on it for days. I don't know what to do at this point because even if he wakes up, then we still have to go to a neurologist and who knows how much that will be. I'm starting a GoFundMe for a small amount right now, and hope and pray he will make it through each step of the way. We appreciate any help you can send us, even if it is in the form of prayers.
